Think about your existing customers and how you’re currently communicating with them. Some companies have stopped their communication all together – this is a really big mistake. Why? Because I can guarantee your competitors will be implementing strategies to win them!
Find new ways to engage with your existing customers and service their needs. I live in a little village in Ramsbottom, and in the village we’ve got a butcher that now delivers to my door, restaurants that are doing takeaways and many other examples of small companies adapting rapidly to generate revenue.
If you aren’t in a position to be able to adapt like some of the businesses I’ve mentioned–pick up the phone! Speak to your customers, simply ask them how they are, how you can help – be there for them.
It’ll be the companies you currently deal with that will allow you to survive and thrive once the current restrictions are lifted, but these principles should continue moving forward, regardless of what happens next in the economy.
